Hello, sweet friends!
It is that time of year again, the time when we focus on loving one another. As I mentioned in my previous post, Valentine’s Day is truly one of my favorite holidays. When I was a little girl, my mom never really told us that Valentine’s Day was only a holiday for couples to enjoy. Instead, she made it special for all of us. Each year, we would receive some candy and little gifts to remind us how much we were loved. It was special for me, and I never really remember feeling lonely on Valentine’s Day; instead, it was an opportunity for me to give and receive love from those I cared for deeply.
With that in mind, I want to focus this year on continuing that sentiment. Though we are not limited to showing love only on Valentine’s Day, I do believe that it is a good reminder and opportunity.
Showing love is not limited to gifts or actions, but little things can carry much meaning, especially in the hearts of children.
I wanted to take the next couple weeks to provide you with some inspiration to do just that. I would never want you to think you need to do “all the things” to make a holiday special, but I would encourage you to pick two or three of these ideas and incorporate them into your celebrations.
This post specifically will be for Valentine snack ideas for classroom settings, whether that be in your homeschool, Sunday school, or some other gathering. These Valentine snacks are a great way to bring some festivities to your days. Whether you are going to be a part of any class parties or if you simply want to have a happy Valentine’s Day at home, I hope these simple, tasty treats will be an inspiration for you and your kids.
1. Healthy Valentine’s Day Snacks
These little frozen yogurt bites can be made with regular yogurt or Greek yogurt. They bring a great healthy twist for a valentine snack option!
How cute are these little love bug fruit cups? All you need are some little heart stickers/heart cutouts, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, hot glue, pink pom poms, and fruit cups.
These healthy snacks are almost too simple, but they are so cute! All you need to do is take a piece of fruit and use icing to “glue” the sprinkle eyes on and draw a smiley face. If you don’t want to use a food friendly pen for the smiley face, you could always just use icing 🙂
The mini marshmallows on these cute, little strawberry ladybugs are so cute! These ladybugs are a fun treat to include in your Valentine’s Day snack lineup.
These little orange emojis are such a simple, fun treat!
The nice things with these fruit kabobs is that you can use lots of fruits. Do not feel like you need to follow the picture exactly. You can simply create heart shapes out of a couple different fruits (like the watermelon, strawberries, etc.) with heart-shaped cookie cutters, then include a few other fruits, as well. There are so many options with this healthy treat.
2. Valentine’s Snack Mix
Casey Leigh Wiegand is one of my favorite people to go to for holiday inspiration. She does such an incredible job of making holidays sweet and special for her family. Go check her content out if you want an inspiration boost!
I love that this s’mores trail mix has the teddy grahams in it 🙂 It is so simple and cute.
3. Valentine’s Day Cookies
These strawberry cake mix cookies are simple and cute. They combine 3 simple ingredient with melted chocolate and sprinkles.
These chocolate chip cookies combine Valentine M&M’s, white chocolate chips, and semi-sweet chocolate chips!
I’ve made these cookies before, and the icing is so delicious!
4. Valentine’s Day Snack Boards / Charcuterie Boards
The nice thing about many of these snack boards is that all of the items are store bought including twizzlers, graham crackers, sugar cookies, conversation hearts, pretzels, Rice Krispies, Valentine’s Day chocolates, etc. If you prefer to make homemade treats, then that is totally an option, but don’t feel pressure to put in all the time required to make everything from scratch. You can still arrange a lovely snack board with items bought from the store 🙂
5. Other Valentine’s Day Snacks
These little love bug Valentine Oreos are such a cute and simple little treat!
This idea and the next are such cute ideas. They are both variations of “Valentine Robot Snacks.” I love that they use drinks, snacks, and candy. Feel free to use your kids favorite variations of juice boxes and different “heads” in the form of jello, applesauce, or pudding 🙂
These gnome cookies are actually for Christmas, but I thought they are so cute and would work great for Valentine’s Day, too 🙂
There you have it 🙂 This post has pulled together 35+ of the cutest, fun ideas that I found through my research of snacks that you can use to create a special time for your young children or older kids. Most of these ideas are easy snacks with ingredients that you can find even at your local dollar store or Walmart. Whether you are planning to have a classroom Valentine’s party or you just want to offer your kids some special treats, I think these snacks will bring so much fun to your festivities.
Have you made any of these snacks before?
Which idea is the most exciting or inspiring to you?

Until next time
