Hello, everyone!

Are we really nearly half way through the month of June? How time hurries on! By the time this post publishes, the Vacation Bible School at our church will be nearly over. Most of the busyness of our summer is also coming to an end. There will be some craziness in July and August, but I think May and June were the busiest. It has been a lovely summer so far, though, and we have made some sweet memories. That said, this post is going to be a continuation of the free printable letter tracing worksheets series that I have been working through over the past several weeks. As I have designed these free printable worksheets, I have tried to keep in mind that they would be helpful for both personal use and classroom use depending on your need. These abc worksheets can be a great way to help your littles practice their proper letter formation, letter sound recognition, letter shapes, and even their fine motor skills. These worksheets will help little writers get some extra practice with their upper case letters and lower case letters.

As I have mentioned in previous posts, as I slowly release this complete set of kids worksheets that focus mainly on alphabet tracing which can also aid in early literacy skills, I would recommend buying a three-ring binder for these printable pdfs so that you can keep them all in one place as an “abc book” of sorts. Additionally, it would also be ideal to laminate these practice sheets so that your littles can use them over and over again with a dry-erase marker (bonus points if you can find some dry erase pockets to keep in the binder!).

Without further adieu, here are the free printable letter I tracing worksheets 🙂 You can either click each of these download links and print your worksheets, or you can click the pictures of the individual worksheets below for your free download.

The four different pages all have different difficulty levels. The first page is simply the uppercase letter “I” combined with the lowercase letter “i” made with dotted lines that your child can trace. The second page has only traceable uppercase I’s and the lowercase letter i’s. Next, the third page has the uppercase letter I with two lines to copy down the letter without as much guidance and two more lines for the lowercase i. Lastly, the final page has letter i words including the words “insect,” “iguana,” “ice cream,” and “island” with dotted lines that young children can use to trace. On that page, there are only lowercase letters in the words, and I think it can be a great way to introduce other small letters and letter sounds.

All four of these pages are in a pdf format and are completely free to you! I sincerely hope they are helpful to you and your littles 🙂

There you have it! In this post, I have provided you with four different alphabet tracing worksheets that I hope will be helpful to you and your children. As I said before, let me know if you would like to have the entire alphabet in “tracing letter worksheets” that you can use with your kindergarten kids or preschool children. As the weeks go by, I am trying to pull together a collection that will include four different pages for every letter of the alphabet. It is a somewhat time-consuming process, but I am excited to see it come together! That said, whether you are using these letter recognition worksheets to teach one young learner or several, I hope that these free letter i tracing worksheets will help with their letter identification along with their general letter knowledge. Extra practice with these fundamental skills can be such an important part of learning.

If you are looking for more printable pages that help with learning alphabet letters, I did want to include a link here to my Etsy shop where you can find an entire activity pack filled with alphabet worksheets that includes pages for every letter of the alphabet to help your young learners. I hope it proves to be helpful to you!

Did you decide to use any of these printable letter i worksheets?

Would it be helpful if I made more worksheets like these for each of the other letters of the alphabet?

Let me know in the comments below!

Until next time
