Hello, everyone!

We are plugging away this week 🙂 How are each of you doing? Are you ready for school to start? I am very much ready for some solid routines that don’t change a whole lot from week to week. Also, I am really really trying not to get excited about fall yet since we still have over a month before it makes any possible sense to start the fall things. What about you? Do you have a favorite season? Fall really isn’t too far away and I am (as always) very excited about the new season around the corner. That said, we are continuing our alphabet worksheets series that is focusing mainly on tracing letter worksheets for younger kids. This specific post is for tracing letter x worksheets. I am excited to provide you with these free printable letter x worksheets that will hopefully help your preschool kids as they learn each letter sound, letter formation, and even their fine motor skills, overall. As the school year approaches, I would definitely recommend making a list of educational activities as you introduce each letter of the alphabet to your kids, and I’m hoping that these worksheets will be one of those activities. They will help introduce both uppercase letters and lowercase.

As I mentioned in some of the previous posts, I would recommend getting a ring binder that you can use to keep all of these worksheets together. From there, I would laminate the pages so that you can use them over an over again with dry erase markers.

Without further adieu, here are the free letter X tracing worksheets! You can either click each of these download links and print your worksheets, or you can click the pictures of the individual worksheets below for your free download.

The four different pages all have different difficulty levels. The first page is simply the uppercase letter “X” combined with the lowercase letter “x” made with dotted lines that your child can trace. The second page has only traceable uppercase X’s and the lowercase letter x’s. Next, the third page has the uppercase letter X with two lines to copy down the letter without as much guidance and two more lines for the lowercase x. Lastly, the final page has letter x words including the words “x-ray,” “ox,” “box,” and “xylophone” with dotted lines that young children can use to trace. On that page, there are only lowercase letters in the words, and I think it can be a great way to introduce other small letters and letter sounds.

All four of these letter x worksheet pages are in a pdf format and are completely free to you! I sincerely hope they are helpful to you and your littles 🙂

There you have it! I hope that each of these free printables will be a blessing to you whether you are using them for personal use with your own children or in a more homeschool coop or classroom setting with other children. These alphabet tracing worksheets have been so fun to make and the series is going by faster than I may have thought it would, but as we near the end, I’m trying to brainstorm to figure out what to do next. As I mentioned in the last post, I have a few different directions I could go, and I want to find the right one. That said, in the mean time, for young children, practicing letter recognition and basic writing skills is so important, and I believe these printable activities will be a fun way to get in some extra practice through this summer season with both their capital letters and lowercase letters. I hope you will enjoy these letter x worksheet printables!
