Happy Friday, friends 🙂 Hope you are all having a lovely week and that you will have a wonderful weekend ahead of you. Can you believe this is the second to last post of this 26-post series? It has gone by very quickly, but I have really enjoyed the process. I am going to go back and really update each of these posts to try and make the process of printing the whole series more easy and convenient. That said, if you are new here, let me take a step back. This post is the 25th post of a free letter tracing worksheet printables series. These alphabet worksheets will help your younger kids focus on their writing skills, proper letter formation, and fine motor skills. They introduce both uppercase letters and lowercase letters. I sincerely hope that they are both helpful and fun as you organize educational activities in this coming school year.

As I mentioned in some of the previous posts, I would recommend getting a ring binder that you can use to keep all of these worksheets together. From there, I would laminate the pages so that you can use them over an over again with dry erase markers.

The four different pages all have different difficulty levels. The first page is simply the uppercase letter “Y” combined with the lowercase letter “y” made with dotted lines that your child can trace. The second page has only traceable uppercase Y’s and the lowercase letter y’s. Next, the third page has the uppercase letter Y with two lines to copy down the letter without as much guidance and two more lines for the lowercase y. Lastly, the final page has letter y words including the words “yak,” “yacht,” “yogurt,” and “yarn” with dotted lines that young children can use to trace. On that page, there are only lowercase letters in the words, and I think it can be a great way to introduce other small letters and letter sounds.

There you have it! I hope that each of these free printables will be a blessing to you whether you are using them for personal use with your own children or in a more homeschool coop or classroom setting with other children. These alphabet tracing worksheets have been so fun to make and the series is going by faster than I may have thought it would, but as we near the end, I’m trying to brainstorm to figure out what to do next. As I mentioned in the last post, I have a few different directions I could go, and I want to find the right one. That said, in the mean time, for young children, practicing letter recognition and basic writing skills is so important, and I believe these printable activities will be a fun way to get in some extra practice through this summer season with both their capital letters and lowercase letters.
