“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” – L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables (link here)

Bonfires, s’mores, festivals, pumpkin patches – these are only several of the fun fall activities that we can engage in as families in this sweet season. In a previous post, I talked about fall bucket list ideas for families (link HERE), and several of these activities were listed there. That said, another activity that can be associated with fall is apple picking or simply visiting an apple orchard. With that in mind, I have pulled together 10 different apple activities for kids! Each of these ideas is fun and in someway related to apples 🙂

1. Apple Stamping – from Premeditated Leftovers

This apple activity for kids is great if you have recently been to an apple orchard and need to use up some extra apples:) I think it’s neat that the author also put the apple seeds, as well!

2. Cardboard Yarn Apples – from One Little Project

Aren’t these cute? I thought it is neat that the author also used real sticks. This apple activity would be neat for families in the south who may not get to be involved in the leaf activities and other fall festivities that are commonplace in the north 😉

3. Popsicle Stick Apples – from Simple Mom Project

This activity does require a little more preparation since you have to buy more specific supplies that may not be hanging around, but I thought it was pretty cute:)

4. Handprint Apple Trees – from Motherhood on a Dime

I love handprint, thumbprint, and footprint crafts. These little crafts can so easily become keepsakes.

5. Pouf Sponge Apple Tree – from Crafty Morning

This little apple activity for kids would be a little less messy than the handprint craft previously mentioned. I think it would be adorable framed and used as décor in a homeschool room in the fall.

6. Apple Pie Playdough – from The Best Ideas for Kids

This craft idea would be so fun if you are looking for something that is lower maintenance and fun for a wide range of ages. Apparently, it also smells like apple pie which is pretty cool 😉

7. Apple Playdough Activity Set – from Early Learning Ideas

If you want something to do specifically with the apple playdough you made, you could always put together an “activity set” of sorts and simply give your kids the creative liberty to make something fun.

8. Tissue Paper Apple – from The Suburban Mom

This craft would be perfect for a rainy day. It is inexpensive to put together, and it may take up a little more time since there are several steps that are a little more time consuming.

9. Apple Pattern Worksheet Activity – from Totschooling

Though they say to complete this activity with a special marker, I think you could simply use crayons or any other kind of marker, really. If you click the link above or the picture, you will be taken to the site. The author made the printable free 🙂

10. “Stained Glass” Apple Craft – from Kinder Craze

Last up is this cute “stained glass” apple craft. Though the author does give you a template in exchange for your email subscription, I think it would be fairly easy to replicate this craft from scratch, if you would rather not subscribe. It would be neat to do all different sizes of apples as well:)
